Just when everything is going right...

So I quit my job at the tanning salon because two jobs was just freaking me out. I felt way more stressed than a few years ago when I was a lot healthier. I guess I just bit off more than I could chew. I don't need that kind of exhaustion. I'm too ill for that.

Speaking of illness, my fissure is back! Yeah ya know how I had surgery in September or October of last year? Well it looks like I'm going to have to do it again. I was in the emergency room with severe pain in my rectum last night. They hooked me to an IV and gave me antibiotics and pain killer through it. That felt really good after not being able to sleep the night before. I was released at about 12:30am last night, so I'm home now.

And not only do I have a fissure, but I have an abcess with icky green stuff inside, which means I have an infection. So because of that, I have to go off Humira for a while so I don't worsen the infection. I'm just hoping my lovely solid stools continue without my humira. That would be nice.

So I have two appointments on Monday, one at 9:30am to see the surgeon, and one at 11:30am to see my gastro. Hopefully with the antibiotics and pain meds I took home I'll be able to last through work the next week and schedule surgery for the week after. The good news is I'm not scheduled to go in until Tuesday, so I have time to adjust to heavy pain meds and antibiotics before I go back to work.

But besides all that my hubby is awesome. He took me to the emergency room last night, and has waited on me all day. He took me to PS to drop off my doctors note and get my prescriptions from CVS this morning, and He also grilled tilapia and fried tatos for din din. He is good to me. :)

This week has sure been somethin...

I don't know what is in the air or the water, but lately customers at both PS (Pet Supermarket) and Aloha are driving me crazayyyyyyyyy! It's like all the rude prudies decided to come visit me at both my jobs this week. Granted I did have some really cool people come in and make my day better, like Micaela who bought a bunny from me and tans at aloha (loveeeeeeee those kind of people). But this week has been nuts. Hopefully tonight at Aloha and Sunday at PS will be better. I have a good feeling about today. It should be a good night.

Anyways, On the health scene, I am officially on Humira for my Crohn's disease, and I feel fantastic. I'm also on some prednisone which is helping tremendously with my energy. So yay! I know none of you want to read this (if anyone reads this), but I had my first solid stools in over a year this week. I am ecstatic! The only bad thing about Humira is I have to give myself injections. It's very similar to an insulin pen, and feels like a nasty bee sting for a few moments, but I only have to do it once every fifteen days. Feeling this good is definitely worth "stabbing" myself in the stomach and thighs occasionally. After all I've been through, I'm starting to feel like me again. And it is sooooo worth it.

Cooking and grocery shopping have been especially difficult as of late. Dave went to the doctor and found out he has extremely high blood pressure, which isn't a shock with his family history. He needs to stay away from salt and I need salt. LOL! So I've been trying to be more carefull with reading labels and cooking. I should get a low sodium cookbook. I wonder if there are any free PDF files online of recipes. Then I could read them off my Kindle.
